New Dawn Restoration Center was born the moment God’s chosen vessel, Dr. Julia M. McMillan, responded to God’s ministerial call. Early in Dr. McMillan’s ministerial walk God informed her that she would take the Gospel to people from all walks of life for the purpose of reconciliation, healing, and restoration. Not only would she Pastor the people, but she would Shepherd a flock in need of the leadership only He could instill in her. In June of 2007, Dr. McMillan, her husband Bro. Terry McMillan and ten other faithful followers of Christ stepped into another level of faith and began seeking God for the location of the church that she would Shepherd.

The pursuit for this location ended in July 2007 and on the morning of August 4, 2007, New Dawn Restoration Center’s inauguration service was held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Tampa, Florida. On the evening of the inauguration day, New Dawn Restoration Center and friends were blessed by an anointed message from Reverend Dr. Jacqueline McCullough, who also presided over the installation service where Dr. McMillan was officially installed as Pastor of New Dawn Restoration Center. The invitation for membership was then extended and over 40 persons joined the church.

In early September 2007, God instructed Dr. McMillan to posture the church to move from The Hilton Garden Inn. In obedience to the voice of God, on Wednesday, September 24, 2007, Dr. McMillan lead the members in a convoy to their new place of worship - a historic church located in Lutz, Florida. On December 10, 2007, New Dawn Restoration Center was officially dedicated.

As God began to reveal more of the vision for New Dawn Restoration Center to Dr. McMillan, it became apparent that the church location in Lutz would be New Dawn’s home for a short season. After fasting and praying, the members of New Dawn took steps, as directed by the Lord, to acquire their Promise Land, 10.9 acres of land located in Lutz, Florida at 206 Newberger Road and Highway 41. New Dawn officially purchased the land, dedicated it back to Him, and declared it to be “The Future Home of The Center of Restoration.”

In June 2009, God directed New Dawn to prepare for yet another move before settling in on the Promise Land. In 52 days, the members and friends of New Dawn restored a building. previously used as a warehouse, into the new sanctuary of New Dawn Restoration Center, located at 14413 N. Nebraska Ave and The New Generation Youth Ministries, located at 14409 N. Nebraska Ave, in Tampa, Florida.

Today, by the power and under the direction of the Holy Spirit, God has given us increase! We have grown by leaps and bounds and as a result we have moved to our current location, 7402 N. 56th St, Bldg. 600 in the Corporate Square.
